Dr. Gil Davis A native of Louisville, Mississippi, Dr. Gil Davis is a 1986 graduate of The University of Alabama School of Optometry. He began his career in an O.D. /M.D. practice in Georgia before returning to Mississippi to purchase the Newton Eye Clinic in 1989. The Newton Eye Clinic is a primary eyecare clinic which services the residents of Newton county and surrounding areas.
The Newton Eye Clinic is a full scope eyecare clinic that includes the following services: comprehensive eye examinations, glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, cataract surgery, laser refractive surgery and medical treatment of all eye diseases. Newton Eye Clinic also has a full service optical laboratory and dispensery where glasses are made on the premises. Newton Eye Clinic has a large inventory of contact lens including toric lens for astigmatism and bifocal contacts, one day contacts and tints to change or enhance any eye color.

Personal Dr. Davis resides in Newton with his wife Jerri Anne. They have four children, Taylor, age 25; Anna Claire, age 24; Justin, age 20; and Leigh Leigh, age 15. He enjoys all outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. |

Dr. Jacob Ivey Dr. Ivey is originally from Quitman, MS. He received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of West Alabama, and his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006. As a student of UABSO, he was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, American Optometric Association, Fellowship of Christian Optometrist and Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity. Upon graduation, Dr. Ivey received the VSP Excellence in Primary Care Award, Gas Permeable Contact Lens Award, University of Alabama at Birmingham Deans Award and the BSK Honors Award for highest GPA. He and his wife, Audrey and daughter Paisley , currently reside in the Clarkdale community. Dr. Ivey enjoys fishing, hunting and landscaping in his spare time. |

Linda Maske Optician - Paraoptometric Linda has been employed with Newton Eye Clinic for nine years and serves as a frame and lens specialist. Some of her duties include: making lenses, checkingin and checking-out frame and lens packages, assisting patients with obtaining appropriate frame and lens packages, making frame adjustments and repairs. Linda checks all incoming contact lens packages for patients and handles dispensing of such lenses. She serves as substitute optometric assistant to Dr. Davis and Dr. Ivey and Dr Nail when needed. She currently resides in Newton, with her husband, Steve. Together, they have one son, Cody, age 18. |

Roderick Dale Certified Optician Roderick started working for Newton Eye Clinic in January 2006. Some of his duties include making lenses, edging, repairing glasses, and helping patients to obtain stylish fames to wear. Roderick attended East Mississippi Community College in Scooba MS. where he earned his degree in Ophthalmic Technology. He is now an ABO certified Optician. Roderick has five years of optical experience. He resides in Meridian, with his wife Katrina. |
